My Philosophy
Therapy is about self-examination. It is about having the willingness and courage to change things that are not working in your life. Over the years, we learn to build thick layers to protect ourselves from the pains of life.
At times, these layers have led to personality qualities that may have helped us through situations. At other times, being stuck in the constructs of our own minds and behavioral patterns is limiting.
Specialty
Although I offer therapy for a breadth of topics, I specialize in couples counseling and marriage services. People want to know what to expect in a marriage counselor or "how does marriage counseling help?" I provide marriage counseling for people seeking divorce and recommend marriage counseling aids to reinforce what clients gain from our sessions. For those who may not be at the point of considering divorce, I can provide insight for reconnecting in their partnership.
