Eating Disorders and Teenage Obesity
Family therapy and eating disorder treatment go hand-in-hand when children and adolescents begin to show signs of an eating disorder. If you answer yes to any of the questions below, it's time to seek preventive eating disorder treatment.
- Does your child's weight affect his/her self-esteem?
- Does your child emotionally eat?
- Does your child have negative eating habits
- Does your child suffer from anorexia, bulimia or binge eating?
- Does your child have control over his eating habits?
While I am not a nutritionist, I can help identify the emotional culprits that cause overeating while assessing effective eating disorder therapy. I can connect you with a nutritionist to devise healthy eating plans.
I help teens and adolescents acknowledge the dangers of fad diets and eating disorder symptoms. It is best to tackle obesity with a dual team including a therapist and a nutritionist. For more information, please feel free to call.
